Scottish Provident International was established in 1991, and in August 2001 became part of the Abbey (formerly “Abbey National”) group of companies, which is now owned by Banco Santander Central Hispano.

It is based in the Isle of Man with a subsidiary in Hong Kong, and has products including life assurance, pensions, trusts, managed funds and other investment products, with funds in excess of £1 billion under its management.
